Streszczenia
The didactic process is well described by various models and approaches in the fields of pedagogy and psychology and current research include the influence of media and educational tools that affect the way knowledge is absorbed and the interaction between teachers and students, but also between students themselves. Integrating the neuroscience of the brain in the learning process allows us to better understand how the brain processes and remembers information and helps develop more effective teaching strategies. Teachers can use such principles to design lessons and teaching materials that stimulate the relevant areas of the brain and promote memorization. The teaching process evolves over time, which is why professional preparation of teachers is necessary. The effectiveness of teaching also depends on the motivation of students and their willingness to work systematically. Moreover, the challenges faced by teachers require the use of available tools to improve the teaching process. It is important to select teaching tools that are appropriate to both the specifics of the subject and the level of student engagement. The review describes the available innovative teaching methods and the authors’ own experience in using a flipped classroom, blended learning, quizzes, virtual cases and tutoring in teaching basic subjects to veterinary students, as well as organizing competitions for ideal teaching tools.
