We have conducted a comparative analysis of changes in labour productivity levels of farms in the member states of the European Union. We determined the impact of the capital-labour ratio, fi xed assets productivity, and gross farm income index on labour productivity changes. Labour productivity has systematically increased in all EU member states throughout the period from 2012 to 2021. An increase in the capital-labour ratio accounted for about a 66% increase in the labour productivity of farms in the EU. Despite the ongoing convergence processes, the labour productivity level of farms in individual EU member states remains high.
