The use of internet applications, whose creation seemed to be guided by the proper purpose of enabling animal owners to independently conduct preliminary diagnostics of a potential ailment in their pet and obtain a specialist veterinary consultation, constitutes a significant interference with the broadly understood legal regulations governing the practice of veterinary medicine. It aligns with the Latin adage „clara non sunt interpretanda”. The current, and therefore appropriate, legal framework for the practice of veterinary medicine significantly limits individual veterinarians' ability to modify its practice. However, the constantly evolving technological advancements in everyday life often present veterinarians with various dilemmas related to the legal feasibility and legitimacy of using these facilities in their professional practice. This fact, and above all, the ill-considered individual conduct of veterinarians in this respect, undoubtedly constitutes grounds for incurring universal and/or professional liability. Furthermore, the provision of technological facilities to animal owners by various entities related to the provision of veterinary services, in terms of diagnosing and treating conditions in their animals, constitutes a significant basis for misdiagnosing the clinical condition of the animal and creating a significant threat to its health and life, as well as, and perhaps above all, generating the possibility of creating a potential epidemiological threat. Therefore, the actions of the veterinary self-government in this regard should be considered justified, and at the same time, the relevant state authorities should be requested to prevent violations of applicable statutory norms governing the provision of veterinary services in the broad sense. Equally important, perhaps fundamental, is the emerging threat to public health and life resulting from incorrect diagnosis of zoonoses, which goes beyond the provisions of law and veterinary practice.
