Streszczenia
Livestock farms are recognized as contributing to environmental degradation, especially climate change. Therefore, it is necessary to control the concentration of pollutants around these facilities. In order to determine the concentration of gaseous pollutants and dust in the air, tests were carried out on a cattle farm. The research was performed in the autumn and winter period on a farm with approximately 150 dairy cows. The monitoring covered pollutants as NO, NO2, NH3, VOCs, H2S, CO2, O3, as well as PM1, PM2.5, PM10, respirable dust and total dust. The highest concentrations among the identified pollutants were obtained for volatile organic compounds (4.57 ppm) and O3 (1.03 ppm). The average concentration of total dust on the farm was 0.76 mg/m3, and of suspended dust PM10 and PM2.5: 0.48 mg/m3 and 0.34 mg/m3, respectively. The monitored conditions on the farm did not pose a threat to animals or employees handling them.
